A SAD STORY WITH HAPPY END
On Saturday evening we received a call that a horse was lying on the side of the road.
Rizk immediately set off with our pick-up and found a horse that has exceeded everything experienced so far. Emaciated, dehydrated, sometimes without hair and gruesome wounds.
The horse was immediately brought to our stable in Matrouh and given medical care.
Now the question arose, where does this horse come from?
It turned out that the horse appeared exhausted in front of a house and lay there in the sun for two days when the home owner decided to "remove" the horse. He went after a tuck-tuck to the next dump.
Due to the grinding marks, it was not difficult to spot this devil the next day. Rizk called the police, who threw him into prison after appropriate "treatment".
The horse, we called him "Orion", is in our stable and was able to stand up for the first time today.
The wounds are horrible, but we hope that he will recover.
DO NOT LET THE ANIMALS DIE IN EGYPT
The situation in Egypt is escalating! As of tonight (March 27th, 2020) all roads are closed and no cars are allowed. Cairo is like a ghost town.
Hundreds of abandoned cats run through the streets.
Our phones are no longer at a standstill. People have no more food for their horses, everything is closed, nowhere can you buy anything.
We still have food, we have made provisions, but for how long?
People implore us and we share, distribute our supplies. And if there might be something to buy again next week, many will no longer be able to afford it. The suffering is indescribable!
Please help us so that we can help.
Here we introduce Ramadan, our stable owner in Cairo.
Not all horses are on the sunny side of life.
We have made it our mission to help through our work and to bring some light into their lives.

The new "Protection of Animals Act" in Egypt.
The owner of this poor, pitiable horse was arrested for mistreatment and is in custody.
Unfortunately, the injuries of this horse were too heavy and we had to redeem it.

Our visionHappy and healthy horses in Egypt is our vision. In Cairo work more than 2000 horses, mostly Arabian horses, About 1500 of them suffer. Our goal is to help those horses and make their lives better!

What we do
We were able to help many horses already. We know we can not save the world, but if we save one horse, we save his world.
